Xplode Magazine (https://xplode.co.uk) Young people set to get 10,000 Greater Mancunion's into work.
YOUNGSTERS are celebrating five years and the royal seal of approval for their ambitious employment plans.
Xplode Magazine's talented teen army is set to get 10,000 Greater Mancunion's into work.
The announcement comes as youth unemployment stood without any significant change across the region with over 12,000 18-25 year olds claiming benefits, according to the Office for National Statistics. Town hall chiefs will have an eye on the announcement to get 10,000 youngsters in our region into work over the next two years.
The ambitious scheme is backed by senior government and business figures, alongside the charity's longstanding champion, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant, Warren Smith.
The North West's only youth-led charity has already provided job tips training to thousands of 12 to 22 year olds which won them the royal seal of approval earlier in the year with The Queen’s award for Voluntary Service.
Minister for Civil Society, Rob Wilson MP congratulating the team on their success, said: “I’m pleased to hear about Xplode’s announcement to train 10,000 young Greater Mancunion’s in employability skills. It’s these skills coupled with voluntary experience that can really mould a young person’s future for the better. Happy Birthday!”
Founding CEO, Saeed Atcha, said: “I think it’s amazing that we’re getting young people to train other young people in employability skills. Our volunteers have been trained by the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development so they are fully equipped on the jobs market. I think it’s interesting to see that the figures above are only for those claiming benefits. How many more young people are out of work and don’t claim?”
